Jane Liao, O.D.

Dr. Jane Liao graduated with cum laude honors from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor's of Bioengineering. Later, she received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley in 2003.

She interned with Kaiser Permanente in Sacramento and the American Lake VA Medical Center in Washington, which contributes to her proficiency in early detection of conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetes and hypertension.

Dr. Liao is a California State licensed optometrist and board certified to treat certain eye diseases and conditions with ocular pharmaceutical agents. She is passionate about serving patients across Union City, Hayward, Fremont, and the surrounding East Bay, and strives to deliver the best eye care possible.

Away from the office, Dr. Liao enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, cycling, and hiking. Dr. Liao is fluent in Portuguese from Brazil, and conversant in Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
